lost equiped quest reward

Lost the thunder ring while it was worn. I was pvp'd and noticed maybe 30 minutes later that it was missing. I'm not in a clan and did not attack back after being attacked but was currently fighting multiple npc characters.

Is this normal? The thunder ring is apparently a quest reward for quest #25. It was gifted to me. It's not a huge deal or anything, I'm mainly curious as to the normalcy of this event.

If you're killed in pvp, there is a chance you will drop an item.

Weapons and certain armors do not drop though.
