character to keep in party?

Hi,which character shoud i keep in party if I wanted decent experience gain,should I have the max number in the group?dismiss some and keep a couple? Fire them all but keep one only or none at all?
This is for the offline version.

All characters in your party gain all experience for each monster killed. The max # of characters would be the best, fastest to kill monsters and no sharing of experience. Yellow archer is 9k xp for swordsman, dwarf, ogre, archer and mage/knight. Some even use Resa in their party, but I preferred to finish the quest.

Keep all. The only real decision is whether to keep the swordsman or exchange him for the mage. The mage is far better because he can heal and cast buffs.

So use all and swap swordsman for mage. You won't regret it.
