Room at the Inn

I can't get into the room upstairs. Am I missing something?

I didn't try when I was up there the exploring the map. Is it possible the inkeeper drops a key that you have to pickup and have in inventory?

Is the inn just a building for quests or does it actually have a functional use (like the bank)

There is chest inside room. Im not sure if it works in RPG, because its like second bank...
