three kings
I got one of the kings killed. Is the quest lost? Its still in my quest log.

I'm not sure but i think u can get the king back if u go to the place where u originally got him

This is correct. Currently you can get back a quest related follower NPC (Resa, lost adventurer, three kings) if it died on the way to its destination.
This might be changed in the future, so try and take them safely home as soon as possible.
