Badly behaving players.
in these few days ive noticed alot misbehavior ingame. Especially these famous criminals (SAVAGED, bubu1, justin bie, Dracula and bunch of others) have been alot more active. It almost feels like that players are encouraged to act like morons novadays. I also like to suggess that intentional pet killing should be punishable too. SAVAGED and justin bie keeps doing this all the time!

Re: Badly behaving players.
pet killing will not become a rule violation (if I have any say in it lol) for 2 reasons. 1> it's unwise to make rules which cannot be properly enforced. 2> there are legitimate reasons to kill pets. most notably; blocking, taking monsters, and preparing for pvp
on a related note, I personally believe it should not be against the rules to "herd" monsters and lead them to kill other players.... yes, both are clearly mean things to do, but there are legitimate reasons for both, and I believe the FT community could do a better job dealing with players who do this if they knew it was "their job" to rally, rather than waiting for GM intervention.
but to be clear, under most circumstances, herding against players (not pets) is against the rules, and will be punished.

Re: Badly behaving players.
Im aware of that herding monsters to kill players is illegal
and thank you for reasoning why pet killing cant be illegalized. Im still concerned about the community. Is the player base grew so much bigger and that's why misbehaving players have became more? In two days i have met way more trolls than kind/smart/reasonable players.

Re: Badly behaving players.
Arent both hindering the game experience? You park your pet far far away. Then watch a bunch of dots get herded towards it from halfway across the map. Its just people being butthats about it. Theres no two ways about it.
Spawn killing someone does have legitimacy in some cases. Some people actually deserve it and its also hard to tell if it was an accident or not.
If you leave your pet in a place with monsters and too many spawn or whatever. Thats your fault. But if someones purposely herding monsters from half the map away to a section of pets, how is that not classed as hindering the game experience or similar?
How can one ruling about not killing people with spawns stand when its murky ground, and blatent pet killing for the sake of being a butthat be fine?
It just seems off, why not just legalise them both? Allow people to kill people with spawns and allow people to drag spawns into pets? Or illegalise them both unless the person is blatently blocking spawns or using his pet to do so?
Because lets face it, people will block with pets, or themselves... and eventually someone goes and gets a mob to try and kill them. We know spawn killing happens plenty as it is anyway.

Re: Badly behaving players.
I agree... I would think both should be legal... however, the ruling has been made otherwise (at least for now - - nothing is guaranteed to be permanent of course) and I do actually understand the reasoning behind it - essentially, the are more ways that pet killing is legit, plus it's even harder to police against it than player killing (and easier for a player to guard against it himself)

Re: Badly behaving players.
Theres more legitimate reasons to pk with spawns on a person than killing a pet with spawns. But you cant legalise one and make the other one illegal. Its promoting pet kills tbh "I cant kill you but ill kill your pet".
As you said its hard to police. Incredibly hard by the sounds on it since when im on i see it a few times each week.
Since its not that much of a big deal overall and people only call mods just to get the guy in trouble, can the rules be reviewed on it?

This topic's original context was about the growing numbers of trolls and i wanted to find out why.
