Make strong enemies have higher hp, but lower arm. So harder for mage but not big difference for non-mageMadMikael wrote:It makes sense to me that dex should count in pvm. It would allow the tailoring of monsters being weak to certain classes... as blitzcraig had intended with recent update.
Unfortunately, this could make it very hard for low level mages to level up, while not making a huge difference to the very high ones. But maybe not, the dex resistance of mana is pretty negligible IMO. I think dex should resist mana more similar to arm versus str.
Perhaps the formula needs to be redone. Or existing monsters need retailoring. Any thoughts?

Good thought
That's better than nothing... but still only means mages dint have a big advantage with these enemies... can't quite get to them being at a disadvantage...

A simple spell resistance factor for monsters could be added to the game mechanics, to reduce effect from spells. It could be anything between 0 and 1, 0 meaning no resistance at all - as presently, and 1 full resistance - no spell damage. Or it might even be negative, meaning easier kill for mages.
Putting such easy enemies for mages in the dead end of a dungeon where to reach you have to pass through enemies with full spell resistance is one of the many funny things could be done if this were implemented
Sure, some programming is necessary for this, but seems to be quite easy to me.

This is a brilliant idea ... would take a bit more programming Compared to just using dex, but not too much, and it would work perfectly... simple and effective.. nice

Very good idea!
Nevertheless, all consequences have to be pondered upon.

Re: maybe bug? spell damage vs dex
I also think that the blitzboots are overpowered because only maGE's and swordsman can hit the bees.
I leveled my archers Dex to survive in pvp with other lvl 100+. Now suddenly I'm killed by chars 8 levels lower because they have a high level mage as an aLt who got them stings. The boots make pvp against others of aaproximately he same level extremely unfair because the one without can't hit. I think they should have a level requirement.
P's I don't start pvp but am attacked often since people got the boots , if you don't have your easy prey. Takes a lot of fun out of the game for me.

FYI, Blitzboots already got a level 100 restriction.

I think it should be much higher. +20 Dex maxes it just too easy to beat lvl's up to 15 higher than you. Unless you have adduced how and armor. If I'm attacked now b ty someone with boots my only option is to log. Not fun.

Re: maybe bug? spell damage vs dex
From a dex perspective, it is a 9 level boost (20 points - the two you already had from great boots) I'll admit that is pretty big, but with level 100 restriction it's less than a 10% advantage. I Am sorry they're causing you problems, but personally I feel they are set up about right... we may have to respectfully agree to disagree on this one
On a different, but related note - I still hope that one day down the road (not top priority for sure) creator will expand the to-hit formula to utilize a wider range of dexterity
