I'm quitting if next major patch isn't good

The offline game was the original game and is different from the MMORPG!

I can always tell other DM's it seems...I guess we stick out somehow LoL... anyway, I hate to repeat myself, especially about something you surely already understand pretty thoroughly, but I feel obligated to do so (even if only for the sake of others reading this thread) ... first though, let me say that I personally agree that the rpg would benefit from not splitting xp amongst your characters. Additionally, there are other aspects in which the direct porting of mmo mechanics may not be the best option. Anyway, back to your grinding issue: your math all sounds right, but it's essentially moot IMO because you're basically saying that it is inefficient to grind enemies which are way too strong for your party's level... I urge you to compare your xp:time ratio killing blue knights vs. Killing archers with pots. In my experience, the archers are literally around 30-60 times faster (depending on some other variables)

About the gear, I completely agree with you on this. This is an example of the game being built for mmo, but making it difficult for rpg. In mmo, the mages are at a considerable advantage over others still (though balance has been slowly getting better, and I'm optimistic it'll get much closer soon) so I purposely left out mage gear in that newest shop (notice no mana pots either) if it were specific to rpg, it'd be nice for the gear to be there. Also (and this is big) if the chests and quest rewards were specific to the rpg, they would be better suited to your party... however, in the mmo that would be abused (and had been early on in FT) so those things are scaled back to be appropriate for the mmo... anyway, I hope you stick around for awhile, a lot of good ideas have been implemented from old D&D DM'S (I'm not calling you old BTW, I'm older than you ; )

Wow never heard a better constructive criticism. I agreewith you at all Points you shared. It was one reason why i choose MMO cuz its easier to lvl there. But its not ok that for example my lvl 181 archer have to kill 280 Stan's to lvl up. I need 10 seconds for one Stan ( 250k xp ) That means i need around 50 min to lvl up. Amd this is only one lvl! If we take a look of the equipment items we see for example plates we have some low lvl plates and then we got following lvl plates:
Lvl 30 lvl 50 lvl 75 lvl 100 lvl 150 lvl 200. To get to lvl 200 that i can use the lvl 200 plate will cost me from lvl 150 to lvl 200 about 40 hours. Im sure i got some other things todo then looking 40 hours on my device to get this lvl.
If you need something (specifically items) feel free to pm or visit my Topic "Forgotten Tales Market" in Off-Topic.

Yes, blitzcraig: we all agree that the game mechanics are fine for the MMORPG and not for the RPG. My ultimate goal here was to give a measure of the wrong balance in the RPG, by providing numbers.
And yes, there are several solutions to fix the level up progression, such as:
- multiply gained XP per 5
- having only the main character to level up and the henchmen to be automatically of his level
- making XP progression cumulative like in D&D and not a reset to 0
- just rewriting the level up chart and the XPs provided by monsters and quests ...
It has to be seen what is more functional for the programmers with the actual engine.

I should point out now that all discussion of grinding at archers and anything else relying on the flow spell damage not being divided by number of enemies is outdated info starting with the new version currently available as beta

Indeed much of what is discussed in this thread is made outdated by this new update ;)

Yes, I've seen. I'll wait the next official patch and I'm pretty satisfied about almost each change even if I'm doubtful about the green flow spell damage. If now it is getting divided among foes don't you think you have made the game overall even more difficult than before?

Why not for Christmas make a update that gives an xp multiplier for 10 days (December 20 - December 30). Then easier way to lvl faster. It could be RPG only or it can have RPG and the mmorpg.

Yeah man dont get me wrong ive played this game since the beginning ..and it WAS good..But the game changed and I was a lvl 800 mage...but then they nerfed my mage I spent 750$ on...and the way they nerfed it was by nuking my hp wich pissed me off..turning health regeneration while in combat was turned off...made my 800 mage a complete waste of space and with the lvl buying option wich i used and not telling nobody not to..but with that option availabe and the hp/regeneration nerf...it is completely pointles to play this game because you get those lvl 1000 and up all golly powerfull..make it no fun for pvp and immpossible to destroy towers...and not to mention lvl 500s can kill me lol...so yeah thia game incredibly broken either Chang it.or I WILL get refund

I don't understand your complaint here... mages are still overpowered compared to other classes, and the hp reduction (from a long, long time ago) affected other classes more than mages for most purposes... additionally, it seems you are complaining that others can buy levels, so you want a refund for the levels you bought? I'm seriously not trying to be mean or anything, I just literally do not understand....
